British artist Ben Hassett is known for a body of photographic editorial and portrait work that spans more than two decades. In studio practice he studies photography's most significant and recurrent subject matter (the portrait, the still life, the nude, the landscape, the floral study) and produces conceptually driven work to decode, reevaluate, and challenge convention. While in residence here, Hassett continued his explorations and contemplations on analog and historic photographic techniques.
